Work is a 4 letter word!

So, life has been busy. Since my last post, we have moved to Ammon, and bought a house. We are working on the kids thing, but Nate wants to move again, before. We have been doing better, for the most part and have had more time inbetween fights. I feel like my life revolves around work!!! When we first moved, I was working at Olive Garden as a server full time, and also at Melaleuca as a Hot Shot, part time. We also decided to go back to school. I will graduate in May with my Masters in Adult Education and Training. WOW! Has my life been hetick! There was a time when I would work from 6-3 for Melaleuca, then at 4 for OG and then get up the next morning and work doubbles for the next five days. That did not include school work!...Things started to slow down in November last year. We decided that I could stop working at OG. Blessed day! I had a hard time quiting, but in retrospect, I needed to not be there anymore. I started full time at Melaleuca in July in the Express Verification Department. I then moved to Customer Service in November/December. The first of January I completed Services Support Staining, and Started the Chat Team the 2nd week in January. I love the Chat Team. The people are less grumpy, and they don't yell at me, and I like NOT having to be on the phones so much. We decided to seriously think about having kids...(dun, dun, duuunnn.)I am happy with the decision, but there are things in our life that need to be better. We need to get sealed in the temple and I need to get a job where I can work from home, that gives us benifits. I am hoping that we can do all of this within the next 6 months. I am also hopeing to be pregnant by then. Well, that is about it for now.

Help the technically chalanged!!

I need help!! I have been trying to change my background on my blog page, and it won't work!! I see all the people i love with new backgrounds, and I want one too!.. Enough pouting.
Life has been crazy. Summer has flown by and in three short weeks school starts. In one week I get to change class rooms and teachers. At work they are going to put me in the Carebear class and I get to work from 8:30-5:30 with a break... I am still reeling..I also get to plan the afternoon activities, and I also get what is called a "rosters" group; (the kids that take a shorter nap in the afternoon of some that don't take one at all.) and i have to plan activities for them too... I feel a little over whelmed. The teacher I am working for is nice, but has a different teaching style than what I am used to, but with time...and a little faith, trust, and pixie dust, we should get a long.
In other news, Nate and I went to meet with our steak Pres. a few weeks ago, and finally turned in our papers to get sealed. I am EXCITED!!! We (and when I say "WE" in this I mean "I") are thinking October some time. We are still learning our roles in the relationship, and I think that it will take some time for us to get better in a lot of different ways. But we are progressing.
I guess that, that is it for now...please help your technically challenged friend!!

Life, Crazy Ladies, and Time.

Life for me has been crazy!!! I have been busy with two jobs, kids at the day care, and callings, Family functions every weekend, learning and more learning with my husband, and just being (yikes!, and gulp) thirty. I am kind of getting over the fact that i am now thirty, but it still makes one think about life. I swear that Nate thought that I was having a nervous break down. But after accepting the fact, and just being happy with who and what I am right now...My out look on life seams to be getting happier by the minute.
Crazy ladies!!! My lady was almost certifiable! I had to work the day before my birthday, and she had me run her cat to the vet to see what was wrong with it. Then I had to get her food from this Mexican place (and the road is under construction, so a two min, trip took ten) and then I had to go back to her house and clean, and give her a shower, and do her personal care which involved some leg massage. So I was only scheduled to work 3 hrs. that day and I got there early because of low numbers at the day care. I forgot that my lady had a doctors app. that day and she didn't show up till about a half hour after I got there. (no big deal..I forgot!) so After working for almost 4, yes count them 4 hours...I told her that I wasn't too happy about waiting for her to get off the toilet so I could pull up her pants, the night before my birthday, an hour after I was supposed to leave, and... I wasn't getting paid to do what I was doing...I wasn't too happy..and I told her... She got pissy, and I left. The next Mon. (i worked Monday through Thursday) I was not in a good mood, because of things that had happened at the day care, and I talked to Nate, and at the time he didn't help me feel better, and then I went to my lady's house...She started talking down to me and getting mad because I left an hour late...I got upset, and left. Long story short.. My eccentric lady is no longer my client. So for the time being. I only have one job!!
I have found that I am happier, lighter, and feeling a lot better about life! I think that she was just sucking me into her bitter old lady life, and that is not someplace that I wanted to be. So. no better paying job, yet...and life is looking good!!
Nate and I are doing better than we have been in a while, and I am proud to say that I think it's because of a slightly better attitude form me. It is amazing how life gets better when you are not around negative people! So, time has just not been my friend, because I find that there isn't enough time in the day to do all that I want to. And my blog has been on the back burner for far to long... I will keep up the goal of trying to blog more. keep reading my blog friends!! I love you all!!

New Year, New Resolutions

It is a new year and I have dicided to make a few obtainable resolutions. I would love to usser in my thirties looking fabulus! But, my idea of fabulus and the outside worlds are verry different... so about 20lbs should be obtainable. I have also decided that facebook id crap and that people should choose one place to be, and stop the other madness. And so blogg is the place to find all the updates. but I know that I can link the two, but I am not sure how to do that.
Finding a better paying job is number two priority on my list. We have dicided that some credit needes to be payed down before kids come into the picture. Speaking ot pictures. We got some taken. and they are cute!! I will post them as soon as i get them. I am working two jobs, and will tell you all more about the excentric old lady later. Needless to say she thinks that because i make Nate breakfast that our marrage won't last... We have had a few hick-ups, the first little while, but we are learning every day how to be better at communication, and all the stuff it takes to make a marrage work...and making breakfast is ONE thing that I can do to help make my husband happy. I am gratful and happy to do that!
I will post more about her later. keep reading blogg friends.

Life, Love and Death

On June 28th about 9:30 AM, Nate's Mother passed away. We are sad and miss her a lot, but to me it is strange how after only one month of marrage, we get to go through another one of lifes events. There is a lot to say, but time does not permit. I will write later.

10 days...

In ten days I will become Mrs. Carrie Evans!!!! (OK really 11 days but I don't count today, because I am all ready in it, and I am glad that work is over.)
So, I have to tell a little about why today is one day that I am glad to have over...I work at a daycare, and that is fun in the summer because I get paid to watch kids at the park, and I get to spend all day outside. Today however is the day that I drive the biggest goober mobile you have ever seen in the form of a thirteen passenger van... I also got to take kids to the free lunch offered at a church. So, there were a few things that happened today that made the park not so much fun.
1. One child decided not to listen after the fifth time of telling them that they can't go that far away form teachers...and then the attitude started.
2. One child decided that her life is like T.V. and she wanted to copy the Capri sun commercial and jump on her Capri sun and see if she too would turn into water?!?!!? Sad to crush her dreams, but she did in fact NOT become the puddle of water that she hoped to be. She then became my shadow, instead of a puddle.
3. One child forgot their lunch and didn't tell me until I got to the park after the free lunch was over, and refused to eat anything that was offered to them....picky eaters get to go hungry when good food is offered.
4. One child decided to throw rocks at a friend, and instead of listening in time-out, they decided to pick the grass, pick mushrooms, and pick up dirty bird feathers.... after the time-out ended we had a pretty serious discussion about germs, and being sick in the hospital.
5. So, after the 5Th call to Denise, my immediate boss, and the daycare to talk to the upper level boss to decide what should be done, I had to call one more time, because a child PUKED!!
Needless to say, I am glad that work is over and that I only have 10, let's say that again...10, Ten, Dies, Days left before I am married!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but who is counting any way.

All because 2 people fell in love

Last Thursday, the 14th, Nate calls me and said that he was craving stake and wanted to take me to sizzler. I said, "ok! steak sounds good, and then i don't have to cook." Then he tried to drive me to "our spot" (the hill that he took me to the night we first met) but, our spot, was dug up and we couldn't get there....so we drove to the other side of town, to find a spot to watch the sun set, and then we drove south of town to the forest preserve...and we still couldn't find a road that was open... strike 5, we went back to almost the original spot. By that time I had to pee... so I found a bush, (and so did he) and we were hugging. By this time I kind of had the idea that he would propose, but I was still happy to just be with Nate. When Nate said to me that he could spend forever with me, I knew that it was true...and then he asked me to marry him. I said yes!!

We are looking at the 27th of June....and in Rexburg, (not our 1st choice...) for the wedding. So, if you can make it that would be great!!!! Just, let me know, and we will feed you at the rockin party!!! Oh, the ring is not the official ring...because neither of us really have money, but the ring will work for now. And just think...all of this will happen and has happened, just because 2 people fell in love.

Pay it forward

Thanks to Emily, and my sister Kaye I have something new to distract me from what I really should be doing....sorry dishes...a little blog game called "Pay it forward."
How it works: The FIRST THREE people to leave a comment on this post will receive at some point during this year a gift from ME. What it will be and when it will arrive will be a total surprise. The CATCH is that YOU MUST PLAY TOO! Before you leave your comment here, write a pay it forward post on your blog to keep the fun going (you can cut and paste these instructions). Then come back and let me know that you are going to play, and sit back and anticipate the arrival of your gift. Oh, and your address too...

Friday is my favorite day!!!

Isn't that a song? My dad used to sing it to me when I was a kid. Well this week Friday is my favorite day!! I get to take my dad out to dinner and celebrate that fact that he was dorne 59 years ago, and try really hard to not think about how old I will be this year... I also get to see Nate's family this weekend. I have decided that they don't get together as much as my family, and that makes me sad. I have also decided that I am tired of the weather. It has made me miss seeing my brother two times and I missed Christmas with my family and or Nate's family because of the weather!!! I am tired of the cold and snow, and I have only been in Idaho for two months. I miss the warm sun of Texas...
I figured out what was holding up the bank, and when my money will be off hold. It will hit my account this Friday!!! Yet, another reason to like Friday this week. I am also excited to make my dad's favorite, Lemon marrange pie for him. So happy Friday to all!!!

Things are getting better...

Things are getting better. I decided to drop out of school and get a job, and put me that much closer to getting out of debt. I am not sure how all this will work out, but I have faith that it will. I am still waiting on the bank to release my money.. it is still on "hold" I intend to find out what the deal is with all of that today!! Things with Nate are still going good. I am learning how to be in a relationship and to put him first..and he is patent with me, so that helps. We are growing more close with each day we get to spent together. We have talked about marriage, and are looking at August, but nothing is set in stone. I will keep you posted. Oh, and if any one knows where I can get a job, just let me know.

Money isn't everything is it??

So, lately, I have been a little stressed about money, and my lack there of!!! (to say the least) I don't have a job, I am in debt up to my ears, and I just started school. (with NO way to pay for it with out going more into debt!) So, finally, after much prayer, and faith that I am doing the right thing, my loans came in today!!!!! :) :) This is such a relief!!! I am going to have to budget a little more and maybe pick up a job, but I am pretty sure that I can make it on what they have given me. So just remember that prayers are answered, and that things will work out eventually when you are doing the best that you can.
School is going good. I have declared a major, and talked to an advisor. I am now officially an Elementary Ed. major, and that is a good thing. I am still trying to decide if I need to drop a photography class and add 2 more major requirements, but I am just not sure how to go about doing that... I will find out and let you know how things go. I am off to collect my money, and pay some bills!!!

First day of school! Didn't we do this once??

Today was my first day of college, again... I walked to my first class Physics. (I walked about a mile and a half to get there.) I was a little early, and so I sat down, and noticed that I was the only girl there.... Why am I the world's biggest nerd and why did I sign up for an 8 AM Physics class?!!? To my relief, there were more girls that showed, and I didn't have to be the only girl those poor geeky guys see first thing in the mourning.
I have decided that college is about waiting....and more waiting, and lines upon lines. I decided to figure out my financial aid stuff, and see if, or where my money is coming from. So, I found the financial aid people in the ball room, (who knows where that is!???) and waited for my paper that told them everything that they ("they" being anyone who sees that paper) need to know about me and my status as a student, mother's maiden name, blood type, and even if I have paid my taxes or tuition. So, the nice lady takes my paper and says, " You have been approved, and you should have money, I just am not sure what the hold up is..."
Thanks I say and she directs me to another nice lady, around the corner, and she runs down what a student loan is and when I have to repay it, and all the stuff I know. She was not too helpful. Then, I guess I payed my tuition, with money that is coming?!?!!!?????
I am then directed to get an ID. ... My picture looks like poop, and I really don't care. I am just wondering who around here gives a student discount??
So I am then directed to the financial aid office to have entrance counseling, and sign a master promissory note(MPN). Big words for you now owe someone A LOT of money and you must pay them when you are done with school!!!!!!!!! so, I go thought the entrance counseling, and it is basically the skinny on a loan, who is who, what the interest rates are, and then after an hour of reading, I have to now take a quiz and get at least 12/15, to pass, and sign my MPN!!!!???? Who comes up with this stuff?? So, Long story short, I passed, signed, and that is an hour of my life that I will never get back!
On to Spanish!!! So, I know everything that we covered today. Can I spell it? No, but I can sure remember that basic greetings. Who doesn't know that in Spanish? I then go to the book store, where it is more waiting, and lines. (Sigh.) I am done with my first day of school. I have home work, and It has taken me another almost 2 hours to figure out my e-mail, moodle, and how to get into all of it with 12 different user names and passwords....tomorrow I get to go to class, and hopefully not have to wait in any lines.
Rapid subject change... Nate and I are great!! We have had fun getting to know each other better, and spending more time with each other. I am settled into my new place, and working on getting into a routine with school. So, lets hope that I can find the money to live on and stay in school, because, it is fun!!! (even though I have home work!)

The Mtns. are becoming Hills.

So, I am here...finally!!! After more than 29 hrs. of driving, a lot of caffeine (in my fave. form Mt. Dew) and phone calls later, I made it to IDAHO!!! I am happy to be here.... I am sorry to all of you that I haven't seen yet, life has been crazy, and so has the weather.
The bumps with Nate are smoothing out, and we are getting into a routine. Things are going well. Nate met my mom last night, so i am not sure how that went, but I think it was good. Ask her how she felt about him. We are planning to go back up to Rigby for New Years, and have fun with family there. I am still trying to organize and "nest" as my mom calls it.
I am going back to school, and have signed up for 4 classes. An English class, a Spanish 1 class, Physics, and an appreciation and history of Photography. I figure I should take all the fun classes that I didn't get to take in college.
Thanks for not commenting, and letting me vent, in my last blog. I also think it is because of the time of year, and if your lives are as crazy as mine, there is no explanation needed.... I love you all and hope that the new year brings you all closer together.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Why are there always bumps in the road???

I want to know why are there always bumps in my road? I wish sometimes when I am climbing this mountain that is life, and I choose to make changes, that my road would be smooth, just for a bit, until I can get my bearings.
But unfortunately, God has a different plan for me. So, Tues. Nate and I had a pretty serious discussion....and things are getting good, but they are not back to the way that they were when I was in Idaho. I guess that some of it is on me, but when he asked me to be honest, I was! and I am sad to say that I hurt him....I am trying to make up for it but it is really hard when I can feel that he is pulling away. I guess that we will see how things work out when I move there. I still feel good about that decision, much to the sadness of my friends here in Texas. I got a blessing on Wend, after pouring my heart out to my parents, who always have good advise, and to the Lord, who always blesses me even though I don't always deserve it.
I thought that I had figured out how to heal the rift that I caused, but I was told today that Nate is still reserved. I am trying to figure out what to do to help us, but I am coming up short. I really am just writing this to vent a little, so there are no comments needed, and I know that the Lord is in charge, so what ever comes of this little rift, is what is best for everyone. I hope that things get better, and I know that Nate still loves me, and right now, that is all I need.

The Only thing Constant is CHANGE!

My life is about to change AGAIN! This time t is for the best, and I am very excited!!! After crying my eyes out about leaving Idaho and Nate, and my family, and much fasting and prayer... I decided to move to Idaho?!?!?!???!!!! I am going to go back to school, and keep my teaching certificate current, and to see what I have to do to get certified in Elementary Ed. So, this week amongst packing, talking to Nate, making travel plans, getting rid of almost EVERYTHING, working two jobs, saying good-bye to good friends, and trying to keep my sanity, I get to test kids all week, and register for classes.... (what was I thinking?)
On the plus side, my mom is brilliant, and told me to take a picture of the things that I want to keep the memory of, but don't want to keep the actual item...and today (bonus of all bonuses... I got to watch 2 count them 1, 2, kids PUKE in font of me!!!! DOUBLE YUCK!!!!) So the last day of work here for me is the 16th, and I leave Texas on the 17th after my exit inspection. So, if i don't write or read in a while, you will know why. If you must know, I have a place to live, and a really good reason to move to Idaho. (Nate being the big reason, but going back to school is the logical reason.) BTW, he and I are 98% positive that things will work out, but we want time to date and get to know each other. Happy reading, Marry Christmas, and I will try to write later.
