10 days...

In ten days I will become Mrs. Carrie Evans!!!! (OK really 11 days but I don't count today, because I am all ready in it, and I am glad that work is over.)
So, I have to tell a little about why today is one day that I am glad to have over...I work at a daycare, and that is fun in the summer because I get paid to watch kids at the park, and I get to spend all day outside. Today however is the day that I drive the biggest goober mobile you have ever seen in the form of a thirteen passenger van... I also got to take kids to the free lunch offered at a church. So, there were a few things that happened today that made the park not so much fun.
1. One child decided not to listen after the fifth time of telling them that they can't go that far away form teachers...and then the attitude started.
2. One child decided that her life is like T.V. and she wanted to copy the Capri sun commercial and jump on her Capri sun and see if she too would turn into water?!?!!? Sad to crush her dreams, but she did in fact NOT become the puddle of water that she hoped to be. She then became my shadow, instead of a puddle.
3. One child forgot their lunch and didn't tell me until I got to the park after the free lunch was over, and refused to eat anything that was offered to them....picky eaters get to go hungry when good food is offered.
4. One child decided to throw rocks at a friend, and instead of listening in time-out, they decided to pick the grass, pick mushrooms, and pick up dirty bird feathers.... after the time-out ended we had a pretty serious discussion about germs, and being sick in the hospital.
5. So, after the 5Th call to Denise, my immediate boss, and the daycare to talk to the upper level boss to decide what should be done, I had to call one more time, because a child PUKED!!
Needless to say, I am glad that work is over and that I only have 10, let's say that again...10, Ten, Dies, Days left before I am married!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but who is counting any way.

Just to keep your head out of the clouds...being married doesn't make the puke go away. It doesn't even make work less painful or disgusting. Unfortunatley, it only makes going home more sweet.
